Villa M&M

At the start of this project, this 5 story historic building next to the Vondelpark was completely stripped, which presented a unique challenge when trying to reconstruct historical elements that would blend with the new aesthetic. The house is designed for, and with, a high-end fashion designer and family and was therefore completely in tune with their needs. The architectural challenge of this project was transforming the open floors into rooms that feel in balance and embracing. The repetition of the new invented ensuites on every floor divides the house in intimate rooms but also brings a connection between spaces. The chalk stucco especially made for this project brings a soft and elegant base that works beautifully as a background for all the collected items that make the house unique, inspirational, and reflects the designer's life.  The house is made into a serene but inspirational residence. A timeless and elegant house in tune with both it’s past and it’s future.
